Becka believes that it is important for all pets to be physically and behaviourally healthy, she has worked tirelessly to be able to provide behavioural support for a range of species.
Although not currently available, Becka aims to provide support for horses in the near future!

Behavioural package for dogs and cats
A consultation package with approximately 8 hours of support. This package is designed to support your family and cat or dog with behavioural complaints such as those displayed on the homepage. The consultation will be carried out in your home where Becka will assess your cat or dog to identify the emotions or motivations driving the behaviour(s), she will provide you with ethical, scientifically supported skills to manage these behaviours. The behaviour support package includes:
An initial consultation (approx. 3 hours).
A behaviour report and modification plan.
A report sent to your veterinarian.
One follow up appointment and subsequent report.
Three months support by email or telephone on arrangement.
Additional follow up appointments will vary on a case by case basis and are subject to additional fees.

1-1 Training for dogs and cats
1-1 training sessions are designed to to assist you with training your pet essential life skills, Becka will only use kind methods to train your pet, so you can be assured that they will be in safe hands! This option would be useful if your dog is struggling in group training classes. Some skills that we can help you with include:
Loose leash walking
Recall
Sit
Wait
Watch me
Settle
Touch
Carrier training
And much more!
If you have a pet that becomes stressed when attending the veterinary practice or when being groomed I can also assist you. This package typically involves the use of cooperative care or teaching your pet to consent which can be used for the following:
Grooming.
Administering treatments.
Blood sampling.
Clinical examinations.
If your pet is fearful in these contexts, the behaviour support package is recommended.

Preventative advice for dogs and cats
A 2 hour consultation designed to help you prevent future problem behaviours in your pet by preparing them with the best start in life. This consultation can be performed in your own home or remotely and includes:
Advise on socialisation and habituation.
Coaching your family about how animals learn and appropriate training and handling methods.
Advise on normal but problematic puppy/kitten behaviours such as biting or inappropriate toileting.
General husbandry/care specific to the species.
Advice on species specific behaviours and communication.
Relevant handouts.
Veterinary referral not required.
Pre-purchase/adoption advice for dogs, cats and exotics
Whether you are buying or adopting a new pet. This 2 hour consultation is designed to provide you with an opportunity to obtain advice from a qualified professional to support you in making the best decisions for your family and your future pet. This consultation can be performed in your own home or remotely and includes:
Advise on selecting a good breeder.
Advise on selecting a pet which best suits you and your lifestyle.
Advice on preparing for your pets arrival.
Advice on settling your pet into their new home.
General husbandry/care specific for the species.
Advice on species specific behaviours and communication.
Relevant handouts.
Veterinary referral not required.

Behavioural support for horses
(Not currently available)
The horse is a prey animal, for this reason, when horses become stressed or fearful, they can demonstrate what seem to be quite extreme and potentially dangerous behaviours. Becka hopes to provide this service in the near future to support you in performing equine management tasks whilst maintaining a positive welfare of your horse. Some skills that Becka will be able to help you with include:
Trailer loading.
Training needle shy horses.
Training horses for clipping.
Training horses to accept medications e.g., worming treatments.
Training horses for treatments with the farrier.

Behavioural support for exotics
Exotic pets often have specific care requirements due to their complex needs; unfortunately many small pets do not have these needs adequately met which leads to poor welfare and suffering. In addition, several problematic behaviours displayed by exotic pets are caused when their needs are not met. Knowledge is key with exotic species and Becka is here to provide you with the correct advice to ensure you have a happy, healthy pet. Support that Becka provides for exotics pets includes:
